Dr. Verena Klein is a Principal Research Fellow specializing in sexuality, intergroup relations—particularly in gender dynamics—power, stigma, and gender differences. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary research, contributing to understanding social identity, power structures, and behavioral dynamics. As a key member of the Centre for Research on Self and Identity and the Centre for Behavioural Experimental Action and Research (C-BEAR), Dr. Klein collaborates on projects that explore human behavior in diverse social contexts. Her expertise spans qualitative and quantitative research methods, statistical analysis, experimental design, and behavioral studies. She has a strong background in social psychology, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as SPSS, R, and NVivo. Dr. Klein's research extends to policy implications, advocating for inclusivity and equity in academic and social environments. Currently leading the Horizon Europe project BADSEX, funded by UKRI and the EU Horizon Guarantee Scheme, she examines societal attitudes towards sexuality and gender. Dr. Klein is dedicated to mentoring PhD students and fostering critical thinking in emerging scholars. Her research publications are widely recognized, and she maintains an active presence on Google Scholar and ORCID.
