Relevance and Originality
The paper addresses an important issue in sustainable agriculture through IoT based irrigation and resource conservation. However, the originality is not sufficiently established because similar smart irrigation systems are already widely studied. The authors should clearly identify the specific innovation and research gap.
Methodology
The proposed use of soil moisture, temperature, and humidity sensors with automated pump control is understandable. However, important details such as sensor specifications, threshold values, sampling intervals, field conditions, crop type, experimental duration, and system architecture are missing. These details are necessary for reproducibility.
Validity and Reliability
The paper claims improvements in water conservation, power consumption, response time, and productivity, but provides no numerical measurements or statistical analysis. The comparison with conventional irrigation should use clearly defined conditions and measurable performance indicators.
Clarity and Structure
The manuscript is generally organized logically, but several sections repeat the same claims about water, energy, labour, and sustainability. The technical architecture and experimental procedure should be presented more clearly, with improved figure labeling and language consistency.
Results and Analysis
The results are mainly descriptive. Quantitative values for water savings, energy consumption, response time, and productivity are needed. The discussion should also compare the findings with previous research and distinguish demonstrated results from expected future benefits.
