Before his current role, Raja worked as a Network Engineer IV at Charter Communications from July 2021 to June 2023. During this time, he was responsible for managing data center operations across five National Data Centers (NDCs) and 36 Regional Data Centers (RDCs). His responsibilities included engineering complex infrastructure solutions involving load balancers, Cisco Nexus switches, Juniper SRX firewalls, and Arista switches. One of his notable achievements was leading the successful rollout of the Recursive DNS project across all Charter markets nationwide, which affected over 26 million customers. He also played a key role in implementing a new BGP standard on thousands of devices and engineering an authoritative DNS project.
Raja’s career includes valuable experience as a Senior Network Engineer at AIG Technologies, where he led the implementation and maintenance of global branch and campus network designs across more than 50 sites, serving over 35,000 users. He authored network standards, managed large-scale branch transformation programs, and collaborated with cross-disciplinary teams to develop comprehensive network solutions. His expertise in routing, switching, and wireless technologies, coupled with his experience in AWS services like VPC and EC2, helped ensure seamless global network operations.
Earlier in his career, Raja worked with ATT & Nokia as a Senior Network Engineer, focusing on designing and implementing secure and scalable network solutions. He was responsible for configuring and upgrading Cisco and Juniper devices, managing MPLS networks, and maintaining high network performance standards. His experience also includes working at Bharati Defence and Infrastructure Limited, where he was responsible for configuring and troubleshooting network devices and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure.
