    Relevance and Originality

The study addresses socio economic conditions of handloom weavers in North Garo Hills District and is relevant to rural development literature. It provides useful empirical evidence from a less explored region, and inclusion of gender participation adds value. However, originality needs strengthening through clearer positioning against recent studies and a sharper articulation of its unique contribution beyond descriptive profiling.

    Methodology

The study uses primary survey data from 240 respondents, which is suitable for descriptive rural analysis. Income based stratification supports comparison across groups, and use of percentages and averages is appropriate. However, the sampling procedure needs clearer justification, along with more detail on instrument validation and reliability to improve reproducibility.

    Validity and Reliability

The data is generally consistent and well organized, especially in demographic and occupational patterns. However, the reliance on descriptive statistics limits analytical strength. There is limited discussion of response bias and data verification, and stronger attention to measurement reliability would improve robustness.

    Clarity and Structure

The paper follows a standard structure and presents tables effectively. However, grammatical issues and inconsistent explanations reduce clarity. Some sections are repetitive and would benefit from improved sentence flow and a more polished academic writing style to enhance readability.

    Results and Analysis

The findings highlight key patterns such as female dominance in weaving, dependence on agriculture, and income concentration in lower ranges. Interpretation is appropriate but largely descriptive. Inclusion of comparison with prior studies and stronger policy discussion would improve analytical depth and practical relevance.

    IJ Publication Publisher

The manuscript addresses rural livelihoods of handloom weavers in North Garo Hills and is relevant to regional studies. However, it requires major revision. Methodology needs clearer sampling justification and instrument validation. Analysis is mainly descriptive and needs deeper interpretation and stronger literature integration.
