Dr. Sarath Babu Kurra is a medical pharmacologist with a Ph.D. in Medical Pharmacology from K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte University, Mangalore, Karnataka. His research focuses on the antioxidant activity of Eugenia jabolina seed and fruit extract on dexamethasone-induced insulin resistance and lipid abnormalities in comparison with metformin and rasagilitone. Dr. Kurra has a Master's degree in Medical Pharmacology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Karnataka, and a Bachelor's degree in Science from St Joseph's Degree College, Sri Krishnadevaraya University. His professional skills include toxicological studies of plant extracts, experimental-pharmacology, drug discovery and evaluation, and teaching general pharmacology, systemic pharmacology, experimental-pharmacology, drug discovery and evaluation, clinical pharmacology to various levels of students. Dr. Kurra has also presented seminars on diuretics, mechanisms of drug actions, and anabolic steroids. He has expertise in Microsoft Office and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS-16). Dr. Kurra has been involved in various organizations, including the Institutional Animal Ethical Committee at Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, Head of the Central Research Lab at Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, and visiting faculty at Kerala Institute of Dental Medical Research. He has also served as a reviewer for journals such as Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, Journal of Advances in Biology, International Journal for Pharmaceutical Research, and Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research. Dr. Kurra has a total of 10 years of undergraduate (MBBS) experience and 5 years of postgraduate (MD Pharmacology) experience. He has also served as a co-guide for M.D.S. entrance coaching center at Kerala Institute of Dental Medical Research.
