Journal Descriptions

Der Nervenarzt is to be an internationally respected publication. The journal is aimed at doctors in private practice and those working in clinics for psychiatry, psychotherapy, psychosomatics and neurology. Basic findings and current information from these specialist areas are prepared competently and in a practical manner. A comprehensive topic focus with coordinated articles is the core of each issue. In addition to imparting relevant background knowledge, the focus is on evaluating scientific results while taking practical experience into account. Freely submitted originals enable the presentation of important clinical studies and serve as a scientific exchange. Articles in the "CME Certified Training" section offer verified results of scientific research and make medical experience usable for daily practice. After reading the articles, the reader can check the knowledge they have acquired and receive CME points online. The section is based on the continuing education regulations for the specialist area. The articles in Der Nervenarzt undergo a peer review process. Der Nervenarzt is an internationally recognized journal addressing psychiatrists working in clinical or practical environments. Review articles provide an overview on selected topics and offer the reader a summary of current findings from all fields of psychiatry. Freely submitted original papers allow the presentation of important clinical studies and serve the scientific exchange. Review articles under the rubric „Continuing Medical Education“ present verified results of scientific research and their integration into daily practice.
