The constellation of seven stars, called "saptarshi", stands for the enlightened and liberated Christites who would lead the nation to true freedom like the former directs the sailors to the pole star. There are seven lines each to the four directions. the number seven being a symbol of perfection indicates our tireless efforts for harmony with God,Humanity and Nature. It means "the lamp of knowledge is lit". True knowledge dispels ignorance and liberates the seekers.
