Abstract

Introduction Although sexual violence occurs across the world, rape and sexual assault are not given appropriate attention. In many societies, incidents of sexual violence often go unreported despite their effects persisting for years. This chapter focuses on rape and sexual assault victimization among girls and women aged 15 years and older across various countries.
