ईरान-अमेरिका संघर्ष : वर्तमान परिदृश्य का एक समालोचनात्मक अध्ययन"

Abstract

Iran–United States relations represent one of the most complex and enduring conflicts in contemporary international politics. Rooted in historical grievances, ideological differences, strategic competition, and security concerns, this conflict has significantly influenced regional and global political dynamics. The present study critically examines the nature, causes, and implications of the Iran–US conflict in the context of 2024–2026. Particular attention is given to Iran’s nuclear programme, US economic sanctions, proxy conflicts in the Middle East, and the weakening of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The study employs major theoretical perspectives of International Relations, including Realism, Liberalism, and Constructivism, to analyze the evolving dimensions of the conflict. It argues that the Iran–US rivalry extends beyond bilateral relations and affects regional stability, global energy security, and the broader international balance of power. Furthermore, the increasing involvement of major powers such as China and Russia has added new geopolitical complexities to the conflict. The study concludes that sustainable peace and stability require renewed diplomatic engagement, confidence-building measures, multilateral cooperation, and the revitalization of an effective framework for addressing nuclear and security concerns
