Ronak Gandhi is currently an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at ITM Vocational University in Vadodara, Gujarat, where he has been since January 2020. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Swaminarayan College of Engineering and Technology in Gandhinagar. Ronak holds a Master's degree (M.Tech) in CAD/CAM from Dharamsinh Desai University and a Bachelor's degree (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering from MIT Academy of Engineering. His professional experience also includes a role as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Finstern Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Vadodara. Ronak's academic and research interests focus on areas such as structural thermal analysis, windmill-operated water pumps, and he has contributed to publications on topics like Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence. He has received honors including project competition awards and recognition for his academic achievements.

Designing and Coupled Structural Thermal Analysis of 3 Stage Helical Gearbox Casing

Purpose of this project was to find out stress and deformation due to coupled effect of load & heat. • These vibrations are induced by harmonic excitation, frequency spectrum, rotational varying speeds, load fluctuations etc. Hence, modal analysis, vibrational analysis, frequency response spectrum, harmonic and static structural analysis was determined. • After performing various analysis for both cases using different materials like High Carbon Steel and Structural Steel A36; it was proved that by changing profile of gearbox housing and taking into consideration high carbon steel as a material, we are getting better results in terms of stress and total deformation compared to existing 3 stage helical gearbox casing.
