An Assessment of Impact of Mining on Environmental Parameters - A Case Study of Bauxite Mine in Shahuwadi, Kolhapur
In this Project I conducted a comprehensive assessment of the environmental impact of mining activities, focusing on a case study of a bauxite mine in Shahuwadi, Kolhapur. The project delved into the multifaceted effects of mining on key environmental parameters, including air quality, noise levels, and water resources. By employing rigorous research methods, data analysis, and field studies, I aimed to quantify the extent of these impacts. Moreover, the thesis includes the formulation of preventive measures to mitigate the adverse effects on the environment, providing valuable insights for sustainable mining practices.
