Projects
Design, Fabrication and Testing of Vapour Compression Cycle Based Domestic Water Heater
To develop economically viable VCR cycle based domestic
water heater which will have reasonably good
payback period compared to conventional electrical
water heaters. Performance of the VCR cycle based
domestic water heater will be compared with
conventional electric heater in terms of energy
consumption and initial cost.
Experimental Investigation on HFO1234yf as a Replacement of R134a in Domestic Refrigerator
To check the technical feasibility of low GWP R1234yf
as a retrofit substitute to R134a in a domestic
refrigerator without compromising future international
commitments on the protection of the environment.
To examine the possibility of R1234yf as a refrigerant in
domestic refrigerator by comparing its performance
with R134a and currently used highly flammable
refrigerant R600a.
