Mrs. Elizebeth Rani. V is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing at VHS–M.A. Chidambaram College of Nursing, Chennai. With over 22 years of academic and clinical experience, she has established herself as a leading educator, researcher, and mentor in the field of maternal and reproductive health nursing.
Her scholarly contributions include more than 40 publications in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals, along with editorial roles as Editor, Associate Editor, and Reviewer for several indexed nursing publications. She has also peer-reviewed over 20 manuscripts and contributed expert commentaries, reflecting her dedication to advancing the quality and integrity of nursing science.
Mrs. Elizebeth has delivered over six invited lectures at prestigious national and international conferences, with a focus on maternal health, evidence-based labour management, and nursing education. She has received multiple awards in recognition of her academic and research excellence, including the Best Academic Proficiency Award, Best Researcher Award – 2018, and Excellent Researcher Award – 2025.
She is the author of the widely acclaimed academic textbook The OBG Compass: Principles, Diagnostics, and Therapeutic Pathways in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and most recently authored Research Methodology (Rest Publishers, May 2025), a comprehensive guide for nursing students and scholars engaged in research.
Her research interests span maternal and child health, adolescent reproductive health, evidence-based practices in obstetrics, and the integration of artificial intelligence into nursing education and clinical practice. She actively participates in interdisciplinary research and policy advocacy to improve maternal outcomes and strengthen the nursing profession.
In addition to her academic achievements, Mrs. Elizebeth is known for her leadership in mentoring young nursing professionals, her strategic approach to academic management, and her passion for fostering a positive learning environment. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she finds joy in reading, gardening, community service, and travel.

- Responsibilities Overview Course Planning and Implementation Prepare course plans, MRP, unit plans, assignment schedules, and CRP. Organize theory and practical hours and create timetables. Plan learning experiences, observational visits, procedure requirements, and assignments. Schedule term tests, model exams, and assignments. Organization and Coordination Select and organize theory hours with faculty. Coordinate classroom teaching, clinical experiences, and observational visits. Conduct periodic appraisals in theory and practical areas. Oversee subordinates regarding procedure completion, leave particulars, and hour tracking.
