Abstract
Introduction Cancer of the breast, cervix, uterus ovary and vagina are a devastating disease for women around the world. Method A non-experimental descriptive design was chosen for the study. Thirty women were selected through non-Probability convenient sampling technique A structured questionnaire was used to collect demographic data & reproductive variables. Check list was used to identify the risk factors of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, uterine cancer & vaginal cancer & analysed by using the descriptive and inferential statistics. Result showed that majority (76.7%) of the samples had moderate risk of breast cancer, 50% had mild risk of ovarian cancer, 70% had mild risk of cervical cancer, 83.4% had mild risk of uterine cancer, 86.7% mild risk of vaginal cancer. Conclusion The most common risk factors for cancer experienced by women were changes in breast, infertility, irregular menstrual bleeding, backache and watery vaginal discharge.
