The research reported in this article is based on an extensive study on the implementation and effects of community policing in three subcity Addis Ababa city administration communities. The implementation of community policing programs in these subcities, their structure, and their engagement with community development departments are highlighted here. The study involved the collection of several types of data. First, key informant interviews were conducted with various government officials and the community. They were dealt with by the police.
