The Journal covers the following topics: Relation between foods, dietary patterns, and human health Nutrition requirements and recommendations Nutritional quality of foods and implications of food processing Bioavailability of nutrients and non-nutrients, and food-nutrient interactions in human nutrition Gut microbiome in human nutrition and health Metabolomics in human nutrition and health Interaction between diet and sustainability, and influence of food-environment interactions on health Consumer behavior towards food and nutrition and its relevance to human health The Journal accepts in vitro or animal studies only if aimed at establishing mechanisms of action of nutrients or non-nutrients relevant to human health. The Journal accepts clinical trials focusing on dietary interventions with a scope of health benefits and epidemiological studies focusing on human nutrition and its effects on chronic diseases, as well as their summaries, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
