The Senate of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda approved the establishment of Faculty of Pharmacy, at its meeting held on 11th Sept. 2015 (vide Notification No. ADM/Senate/ 394 dated 3rd Dec. 2015). To equip the graduates in Pharmaceutical Sciences with advanced professional knowledge by amalgamating the knowledge of physical, chemical, biological and clinical sciences with advancements in technology To provide quality education to the students in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences To provide an environment for performing advanced path breaking research in the field of pharmaceutical sciences To produce graduates who are recognized for their personal initiatives and professional excellence in the field of pharmaceutical Sciences To inculcate moral, social and professional values in students To guide the students to imbibe core human values like honesty, integrity, reliability, selfless duty, social responsibility and accountability. Pharmacy Department established in 1973, is now "Faculty of Pharmacy" since 3rd Dec. 2015. Faculty is a top ranked institution imparting quality education from UG to PhD level in Pharmaceutical Sciences and also enjoys the reputation of being an Advanced Research Centre, boasting of renowned Scientists and Academicians. It is Ranked 14th best Pharmacy Institute in India by National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF)- 2020, MHRD, Gol. The Faculty has a separate dedicated building for research since 2001 known as "Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shri GH Patel Pharmacy building".
