Click here for the Details of Ph. D. Supervisors & Area of Research. The candidates are required to take an entrance test conducted by SIGMA UNIVERSITY. The Entrance Test will be conducted at SIGMA UNIVERSITY. An Entrance Test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks as 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific. The candidates who qualify the UGC-NET (Including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF) / GATE/GPAT/CEED with a valid score in terms of cut-off marks and duration, shall be exempted from appearing in the entrance test and deemed to be qualified for personal interview. A relaxation from Ph. D Entrance Test1 for that candidate, who is having 10 years or more experience in Academics/Industry/Research or Equivalent. (The candidates who are exempted from Written/Entrance Test, will be awarded the highest marks scored by the candidates, who appeared in the Written/Entrance Test conducted SIGMA UNIVERSITY for that particular discipline.) A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time. The score obtained in the written test or entrance test administered by Sigma University will remain valid for two terms, including the current term in which the candidate appeared for the examination. Ph. D Programme shall be for a minimum duration of three (3) years, including course work, and a maximum duration of six (6) years from the date of admission to the Ph. D programme.
