The Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (CTCRI) is a government-owned institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). However, the institute is recognized by several universities for doctoral programs, including: University of s for doctoral programs, including: University of Kerala, Kannur University, MG University, MS University, and Utkal University. The CTCRI is the world's only research organization dedicated to tropical tuber crops. It's located in Sreekariyam, Kerala, about 12 kilometers from the airport and 10 kilometers from the railway station and bus terminal of Trivandrum.
