Abstract
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are interconnected concepts that are focused on creating a workplace culture that values and respects all individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any other characteristic that makes them unique. Diversity refers to the range of differences that exist among people, including differences in culture, background, experiences, and perspectives. In the workplace, diversity means actively seeking to include and value individuals from different backgrounds and experiences, and creating an environment where they feel welcome and supported. Equity refers to fair treatment and access to opportunities, resources, and rewards, regardless of an individual's differences. Equity is about ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to succeed and be recognized for their contributions, regardless of their background or identity. Inclusion refers to the practice of creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. It involves creating a sense of belonging, fostering open communication, and encouraging diverse perspectives and contributions.
