Abstract
The solid-state structure of triphenylsilanol-piperazine adduct was reported from optimized reaction conditions. The molecular composition was further supported by elemental analysis, FT-IR, multinuclear NMR (1H and 13C) and TGA. In solid-state, the four triphenylsilanols are associated in tetrameric form with one piperazine molecule through intra and intermolecular hydrogen bonds that lead to the new type of hydrogen bonding. The molecule represents one of the rare examples of triphenylsilanol-amine derivatives with a new hydrogen-bonding pattern.
