Abstract
This chapter was written along with two other colleagues. It covered the psychological impact of COVID -19 on individuals, families and on a community as a whole. Drawing from the limited literature available about pandemics that took place in the past, this chapter focuses on how being better in certain areas of mental health can act as a cushion against such natural disasters and their lasting impact on people and how surviving a pandemic changes the dynamic of life, whether as an individual, a family or as a community.
