Abstract
The integration of drone technology into solar site management represents a transformative approach to optimizing operations and enhancing efficiency in the renewable energy sector. Drones equipped with advanced imaging and sensing technologies enable real-time monitoring and assessment of solar installations, providing invaluable data on panel performance, site conditions, and maintenance needs. This paper explores the potential of drone technology in various aspects of solar site management, including site surveying, inspection, and performance analysis. By leveraging high-resolution aerial imagery and thermal imaging, drones facilitate the early detection of issues such as shading, dirt accumulation, or mechanical malfunctions, significantly reducing downtime and maintenance costs. Additionally, the utilization of drones enhances data collection for environmental assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The integration of drone data with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) allows for improved site planning and decision-making processes.
