Identification of Micrococcus sp. Responsible for the Accelaration of Jute Retting

Abstract

Attempt was under taken to isolate, identify and characterized jute retting bacteria from the natural environment. Among all the isolate, Micrococcus sp. was found to be the most promising microbe which retted jute only within 6 days under control laboratory condition.
