Abstract
The purpose of the present investigation was to identify the factors that contribute towards stress among women professionals in educational sector and to find out the causal effect of salary, job security, transfer and workload on stress among working women. The main aim of the study was to analyze the stress among the teachers has been conducted in Chennai City which is one the educational hubs in Tamil Nadu. 350 sample respondents from the Arts and science colleges have been selected using the simple random technique. The primary data was collected during the month of December 2021 using Google forms. The private sector has its own unique work culture. It is unique owing to factors such as placement, counselling, compensation problems, etc. The result revealed that factors such as salary, job Security, transfer and workload considered for measuring their impact on the stress level of the teachers; salary does have significant difference according to the level of stress. The study concluded that other factors such as Job security, transfer and workload of the teachers showed a significant difference according to the level of stress.
