A study on Professional Qualities (PQ) v/s Cultural Fit (CF) in Today’s Modern Perspective of Digital Evolution

Abstract

This paper attempts to analyses today’s needs of different types of workforces available in the market. As of now, every organization requires a dynamic personality with versatility in their Professional Qualities (PQ)and Cultural Fit (CF)in to their workplace. With the emergence of the virtual world, we can see two different kinds of workforce available. The one is a digital native and another is digital immigrants. This created major differences in work force and concepts like Professional Qualities (PQ)and Cultural Fit (CF) or fitting personality. Which has become a major challenge for the recruiter of every organization. As of now, every organization wants a perfect combination of a person who is professional qualified as well as Cultural Fit (CF)for the organization environment. In this digital age, organizations aim to place employees in the right roles and environments to encourage creativity, inventiveness, self- initiative, adaptability and change-competence. Therefore, Ouchi's Theory Z emphasizes that professionalism and Cultural Fit (CF) are essential for cultivating a dynamic and innovative workforce, stressing the need to balance both for organizational sustainability and growth.
