About

I am a Program Manager at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the University of Alberta, responsible for managing complex projects since May 2023. I work closely with PIs/professors and students to ensure timely completion of projects within budget, coordinate meetings and events, and conduct quality assurance checks on project documents. My expertise includes analyzing documentation, preparing briefing notes, and developing policies in compliance with funding agencies. I provide governance, accountability, capacity building, and engagement expertise to manage projects effectively. Using PeopleSoft HCM, I request payrolls, manage hiring, and coordinate quality controls to meet deadlines and requirements. I also support faculty and students with technical, manuscript, and grant writing. I have experience in literature reviews and evaluations for well-reputed journals, and my on-the-job experience has honed my skills in health-related research and problem-solving. I have also completed a certification in Yukon First Nation from Yukon University, providing me with a unique perspective that I can bring to my work. I have also completed certifications in Introduction to Python and Introduction to Data Science course from the University of Waterloo. These skills have proven invaluable in my work, enabling me to analyze data and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making. Looking towards the future, I am excited to earn PMP certification, up-skilling and growing in the field of project management. I am committed to continuous learning and development, pursuing opportunities that will help me become a better project manager and leader.
