"peopleblog.org" is an abbreviated version of "weblog" which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. In other words, an online diary or journal that is open for the public to view and comment on. It is a public space online where the author posts writings of any kind which are listed in backwards- chronological order. "peopleblog.org" is a frequently updated, personal website featuring diary-type commentary and links to articles on other Web sites. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects. We discuss motivations for blogging, the quality of social interactivity that characterized the blogs we studied, and relationships to the bloggers audience. This system considers the way the bloggers related to the known audience of their personal social networks as well as the wider.
