Dr. Suman Kalyan Nath

Suman Kalyan Nath, Associate Professor at Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences, brings over 11 years of teaching experience specializing in Haematology, Blood Banking, Clinical Pathology, and Stem Cell Biology. Since January 2023, he has served as Associate Professor, previously holding roles as Assistant Professor and Lecturer within the same institution. Suman's academic journey includes contributions to the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, fostering expertise in medical sciences crucial for healthcare. His industrial background spans 5 years, with roles at Cryobanks International India, Thyrocare Diagnostic Centre, and Vivekananda Diagnostic Centre, enhancing his practical insights into stem cell phlebotomy and diagnostics. The higher education sector is passing through a rapid transformation, both in India and across the world. The conventional wisdom about the ‘quality’ of education, be it teaching, research, or co- and extra-curricular activities, the measures of performance have changed. A mere degree from a reputed institution is no longer sufficient for a successful career. The distinction between the real and the virtual is blurred. The ‘classroom’ is no longer confined to the physical space of the four learning walls. The knowledge question has become dynamic, pushing all, ranging from young students to experienced professors, to make it a lifetime engagement and continuous upgrading of skills and understanding. My association with Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences has been since 2012 and involved in teaching, preclinical laboratory and clinical activities for the last 11 years. I am also actively involved with different types of academic curricula and activities including research. Apart from these, I also regularly attend Specialty conferences, workshops, FDPs, CME programs, and webinars and present scientific papers. I have published several research papers in national and international journals.
