Shachi Ghanshyam Sayata

Shachi Sayata is a Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank, based in New York, where she combines financial expertise with technical product management to define product requirements and leverage data analysis for strategic initiatives. She plays a crucial role in the Prime Brokerage Business’s FICC Risk & Pricing vertical, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive business insights and shape the future of finance. Before joining Barclays, she served as a Senior Technical Product Manager at ICE, where she contributed to counterparty risk management and CDS index options clearing, focusing on business case preparation and technical product strategies. Over her five-year tenure at ICE, she held various roles, including Technical Product Manager, driving initiatives related to risk and pricing for CDS index options, and developing solutions for counterparty risk. Shachi also worked at CME Group as a Risk and Pricing Analyst, where she honed her skills in international swaps, derivatives, and credit risk management. Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Finance from Illinois Institute of Technology, where she was awarded the Dean’s Merit-Based Scholarship and served as the Class of 2017 commencement speaker. During her time at IIT, she was an active member of the Stuart Investment Club and contributed as a writer for the university newsletter, TechNews. She also holds an MBA in Finance from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), where she was part of the editorial board. Her passion for community engagement is evident in her volunteer work with the American Cancer Society, where she served as an Ambassador and Community Management Volunteer.
