Mr. Parshant Dahiya has completed his post graduation in Forensic Science with a specialisation in Forensic Biotechnology from National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, INDIA. At present, he is working as a Lecturer in the Institute of Advanced Research located in Gandhinagar. He has published research papers in scopus journals and is a contributor of diatom species in iNaturalist, a joint initiative of the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society. He has a keen and a deep interest in exploring the field of forensic biology and has successfully completed his work in the field of forensic diatomology, exploring different genera and species of the diatoms which helps in investigation of the accidental and homicidal drowning cases and also researched on heavy metals which affect the declined saffron growth in India. Apart from that, he has a great expertise in DNA extraction, RNA extraction, PCR, Next Generation Sequencing and other related fields.
