Oluwabanke Shodimu is a dynamic finance professional with a proven track record of excellence in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), external reporting, and strategic workforce management. With over six years of progressive experience spanning industries such as biotechnology, oil and gas, and financial services, she has demonstrated an exceptional ability to deliver financial insights that drive strategic decision-making at the highest levels of business. Currently serving as a Finance Manager at Amgen, Oluwabanke plays a key leadership role in the Tech & Workforce Strategy unit within Corporate FP&A. Her work is focused on aligning Amgen’s global workforce and technology investments with the company’s long-term growth objectives. Prior to this role, she led financial operations within Amgen’s Global Commercial Operations, supporting regional business units by streamlining budgets, forecasting revenue, and optimizing cost structures. Her earlier experience as Manager of Corporate External Reporting equipped her with deep expertise in regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and financial disclosures critical to investor relations. Oluwabanke's journey into finance was shaped by her multidisciplinary academic and professional background. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Washington University in St. Louis – Olin Business School, where she was a Forté Fellow and recipient of the prestigious Olin MBA Finance Award, recognizing her outstanding performance in finance. During her MBA, she also served as the President of the Olin Healthcare & Life Sciences Club, showing early leadership in sectors she continues to influence today. Before transitioning into finance, Oluwabanke began her career in engineering roles within the energy sector. She worked as a Production Engineer at Addax Petroleum and a Petrophysicist intern at Dharmattan Nigeria Limited, after earning her Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan. This technical foundation has strengthened her analytical rigor and equipped her with a rare ability to bridge finance and operations across complex, data-rich environments. Her technical fluency is further supported by professional development in Predictive Modeling and Analytics through Coursera (University of Colorado), and Well Control Awareness certification from the International Well Control Forum. Beyond her professional work, Oluwabanke is passionate about education and leadership. She served as Chairperson of the World Mathematics Tournament at the Mathematics for Life Foundation for over three years, promoting STEM education and youth engagement. Her diverse global experience across Nigeria and the United States, coupled with her cross-industry background, positions her uniquely as a finance leader who thrives at the intersection of data, people, and strategy.
