Dr. Muhammad Mansoor Majeed is an accomplished academic and clinician with extensive experience in dental education, research, and clinical practice. Currently serving as the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Oral Biology at the Quetta College of Dentistry, Quetta, Pakistan, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing dental science and nurturing future dental professionals. Since October 2024, he has been instrumental in shaping academic programs and mentoring students in oral biology, integrating his clinical and research expertise into his teaching. Prior to his current position, Dr. Majeed held a significant academic and administrative role as the Assistant Professor and Head of the Department at the Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine, Karachi, from October 2018 to October 2024. During his six-year tenure, he led various initiatives to enhance the quality of dental education and was deeply involved in curriculum development and departmental research activities. His leadership played a pivotal role in aligning academic standards with national and international benchmarks. Dr. Majeed's research journey began with a position as a Research Fellow at the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) from January 2016 to September 2018. This experience allowed him to delve into diverse areas of medical and clinical research, with a focus on data-driven outcomes and evidence-based practices. His involvement in projects such as the "Distribution of Dental Practices in Jazan of Saudi Arabia: A GIS-Based Approach" highlights his interest in combining geographic and statistical tools to inform healthcare planning and delivery. Academically, Dr. Majeed holds an MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) and is currently a PhD Scholar, both from Dow University of Health Sciences, where he was also trained in CHPE (Certificate in Health Professions Education). He completed his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Hamdard University in 2006. This solid educational background has equipped him with a thorough understanding of both clinical dentistry and educational methodologies. Known for his analytical approach and research acumen, Dr. Majeed is proficient in clinical research, statistical data analysis, and medical writing. He continues to contribute to the dental profession through his expertise in periodontology, oral pathology, and restorative dental procedures. In addition, he has experience with laboratory techniques including ELISA and DNA analysis, enhancing his contributions to interdisciplinary dental research. With over a decade of cumulative academic, clinical, and research experience, Dr. Majeed is recognized for his dynamic teaching style, research productivity, and dedication to advancing oral health education and practice in Pakistan.
