BAPI RAJU BANDAM
About
Dr. Bapi Raju Bandam is an accomplished academic with over 13 years of experience in mechanical engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from Andhra University, specializing in experimental investigations of diesel engines using biodiesel. His research emphasizes alternative fuels, engine analysis, and composite materials. Dr. Bandam has taught various subjects, including Thermodynamics and CAD/CAM, and has guided numerous B.Tech and M.Tech projects. He has published several papers in international journals and filed a patent for improved ceramic fuel cells. He is currently an Associate Professor at Swamy Vivekananda Engineering College, Bobbili, Vizianagaram.

EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF SINGLE CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE USING COMMON RAIL DIRECT INJECTION [CRDI] SYSTEM WITH NEAT PALM METHYL ESTER
The concept is being modified and the attention is to introduce alternative fuel with CRDI concept. The advent of CRDI concept is being introduced to a single cylinder engine to verify performance and vibrations of the engine to realize the usage of biodiesel and to check the efficiency and reliability to eliminate the usage of the fossil fuel.
There are certain advantages gained through the trial and it is successful after experimentation with the verification of performance, emissions, and the engine vibration. There is an advantage of better torque conversion, reduction in the shock on the flywheel speed and vibration transmitted to the foundation of the engine. As usual, there is reduction in the emissions in the case of biodiesel application with an exception of higher NOx.It can be best assured that the usage of Palm Methyl Ester with CRDI concept is worthwhile to replace the diesel fuel in the unmodified engine.
