PERCEPTION, AWARENESS AND BENEFITS OF CHATGPT-AN EMPIRICAL STUDY AMONG GENERATION Z AND MILLENNIALS

    Abstract

This empirical study investigates how Millennials and Generation Z view ChatGPT and its advantages. We employed mixed-methods research techniques to gather information about the understanding and usage of ChatGPT among members of these two generational cohorts through surveys and in-depth interviews. Our research shows that while both generations are generally aware of ChatGPT, Millennials have a greater degree of familiarity with the platform since they have had more time to experience its benefits. Although they are also informed, Generation Z exhibits a more critical attitude towards AI technologies, frequently concentrating on useful uses and moral issues.

    Relevance and Originality

The study addresses an important and timely topic by exploring how Millennials and Generation Z perceive ChatGPT. This focus on generational differences in attitudes toward AI adds originality and relevance, especially as these groups increasingly influence technology adoption and usage.

    Methodology

The mixed-methods approach, utilizing both surveys and in-depth interviews, effectively captures a comprehensive understanding of the perceptions held by both generational cohorts. This combination allows for rich qualitative insights alongside quantitative data. However, more information on the sample size and selection criteria would enhance the methodological robustness.

    Validity & Reliability

While the findings are insightful, additional details on how the survey and interview questions were developed and validated would strengthen the study's reliability. Addressing potential biases in the responses would also enhance the credibility of the findings.

    Clarity and Structure

The summary presents the study's purpose and key findings clearly, making it accessible to readers. However, a more structured format—dividing sections into background, methodology, results, and conclusions—would improve clarity and organization, aiding reader comprehension.

    Result Analysis

The findings reveal that Millennials are more familiar with ChatGPT, while Generation Z adopts a more critical perspective on AI. Expanding on specific examples of how each generation utilizes ChatGPT and detailing their concerns would provide deeper insights. Additionally, discussing the broader implications of these attitudes for AI adoption in various sectors would enhance the analysis and its practical relevance.
