Zeitschrift fur Physik A Hadrons and Nuclei (ZPAHN)
Journal Descriptions
Zeitschrift für Physik A: Hadrons and Nuclei was a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to research in nuclear and hadron physics. It formed part of the historic Zeitschrift für Physik series, a major German physics journal established in 1920 and later divided into specialized sections. The “A” section focused on the physics of atomic nuclei and strongly interacting particles (hadrons). It published both experimental and theoretical research on nuclear structure, nuclear reactions, heavy-ion collisions, particle interactions, and properties of subatomic particles. The journal also covered topics such as nuclear models, scattering theory, and fundamental interactions governing nuclear matter. The journal played an important role in disseminating European and international research in nuclear physics, especially during the late 20th century when advances in accelerator technology and quantum theories were rapidly evolving. Contributions came from leading laboratories and research institutions worldwide. Published by Springer-Verlag in Germany, the journal maintained high academic standards and global recognition within the nuclear physics community.
