Zeitschrift für Politikwissenschaft (ZPol)
Journal Descriptions
The Journal of Political Science (ZPol) sees itself as a forum for the entire field of political science. It offers a platform for all sub-disciplines and fields as well as for all approaches and directions of the subject. As a common bond, basic, theoretical and practical orientation as well as critical discussion are in the foreground of the scientific contributions. In addition to articles (double-blind peer review), which are the focus of each issue, Focus includes articles (single-blind peer review) that take up current topics with political science relevance and analyze and pointedly evaluate them from the perspective of the sub-disciplines of the subject. In addition, there is space for comments and brief analyses. This is intended to open up the journal more to scientific debates and critical discussion. The section Teaching & Research (single-blind peer review) discusses the diverse developments and changes in higher education policy that have serious implications for political science. This section is particularly useful for the discipline's self-positioning in the turbulent times of the post-Bologna process and at the same time dares to look ahead, showing trends and currents.
