Transmodernity (Transmodernity)
Journal Descriptions
Transmodernity is an international peer reviewed open access journal focusing on Luso Hispanic cultural production, literature, cultural studies, and interdisciplinary research. The journal provides a platform for scholars and researchers to explore cultural expressions from marginalized, peripheral, and transnational perspectives. It publishes original research articles, critical essays, reviews, and scholarly discussions related to literature, history, cultural theory, anthropology, media, and social sciences. The journal examines themes connected with globalization, colonial and postcolonial experiences, identity, migration, cultural exchange, and South to South dialogues. Transmodernity aims to expand traditional approaches in cultural studies by highlighting voices and perspectives from Latin America, Iberian regions, and other connected cultural communities. It encourages interdisciplinary scholarship that crosses boundaries between literature, visual arts, performance studies, social sciences, and humanities. The journal follows a double anonymous peer review process and operates under an open access model, allowing researchers worldwide to access and contribute to academic discussions.
