Journal Descriptions
Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai Theologia Graeco-Catholica Varadiensis appears in 1999 as a publication of the Department of Oradea of the Faculty of Greek Catholic Theology, Babes-Bolyai University. From this year the journal has published regularly, since 2013 in one cumulative volume (in December) and tries to respond to the contemporary challenges of the theological, historical and philosophical world. Exploitation of the sources, a profound analysis of the disputed questions and the scientific rigor have guided the preoccupations of the authors to a novel opening. To overcome the serious handicap caused by totalitarianism, with the effects will being felt for a long time, the editorial board had into consideration the promotion of the young researchers with training stages abroad. So, the journal provides space for assertion to young people willing to publish results of their research. The structure of the journal is jointed on the studies and articles, books and reviews, grouped by domains. A significant part of the articles are published in the international languages. The magazine includes the main fields of the theological subjects (Biblical Theology, Dogmatic, Morality, Liturgical, Patrology, Catechesis, Christian Art, Religious Philosophy, Church History etc.), but also interdisciplinary studies. Following the example of the prestigious journals, our pages also host the presentation and the reviewing of some journals in the field of theology.
