Sociographe (Sociographe)
Journal Descriptions
To promote and encourage research in social work, social work institutes have joined forces around the Sociographe project to help explore the links between social realities, professional practices and the political prescriptions of what we call "social work". At a time of major change, it seems necessary to get as close as possible to the testimonies that form the basis of people's realities, so as to better adapt professional practices and political will. In this respect, Le Sociographe proposes to exploit all the elements that run through the social question, to contribute to tracing what could be a common object between field research, training writings and the collection of "socio-graphic" testimonies. We still need to invent a "socio-graphy" as well as an "epistemology of testimony". Doesn't every social and historical reality reveal itself through the interplay of values attributed or not to testimonies? Le Sociographe offers a framework for working, writing, reading and exchanging ideas, to develop a reflection on intervention methods and practices.
