Slovenski jezik / Slovene Linguistic Studies is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to research on the Slovene language and linguistics. Established in 2015, the journal serves as a forum for the dissemination of high-quality linguistic research concerning Slovene as well as studies relevant to Slovene linguistics from broader theoretical and comparative perspectives. It is jointly published by the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language, part of the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU), and Brigham Young University in the United States. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, and scholarly discussions in areas such as phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, lexicography, sociolinguistics, historical linguistics, and language planning. Contributions are accepted in several languages and reflect a wide range of theoretical approaches and methodological traditions. The journal aims to foster international cooperation among linguists and promote the study of Slovene within the wider context of Slavic and general linguistics. As an open-access publication, it provides free access to its content and supports global scholarly communication in language sciences.
