Schutzian Research (SR)
Journal Descriptions
Schutzian Research is an international peer reviewed scholarly yearbook devoted to the advancement of phenomenology, social theory, qualitative social science, and interdisciplinary humanistic research. The journal continues the intellectual tradition of the Austrian philosopher and sociologist Alfred Schutz, whose work significantly influenced phenomenology, sociology, and interpretive social science. The publication welcomes original contributions that are philosophical, cultural scientific, sociological, and multidisciplinary in character. The journal provides a forum for researchers exploring issues related to the lifeworld, intersubjectivity, social action, meaning construction, qualitative methodology, hermeneutics, and phenomenological analysis. Contributions are published in multiple languages with English abstracts to facilitate international scholarly communication. All submissions undergo blind peer review by experts in the relevant fields. Published by Zeta Books, Schutzian Research attracts scholars from philosophy, sociology, anthropology, education, communication studies, and related disciplines. The journal is indexed in several international databases, including Scopus and EBSCO services, helping to disseminate research on phenomenological and interpretive approaches to social reality. It serves as an important platform for contemporary discussions inspired by Schutz's intellectual legacy and broader qualitative social science traditions.
