The Romanian Economic Journal (REJ) first appeared in 1998 in the framework of the program Temper / Tempus Economics for Romania (JEP 9228) - 1995/1998, one of the largest programs of its kind ever developed in the country. Since its first issue, the journal’s constancy and high quality became well appreciated both in the Romanian and foreign academic environment. Members of the Scientific Council of the Romanian Economic Journal are prestigious specialists in the field of economics from Romania and other countries. The Editor in Chief of The Romanian Economic Journal is Professor Ioan POPA.
