ORINOQUIA is a scientific journal of the General Research Directorate of the University of Los Llanos, established in 1986. It is dedicated to disseminating research results and new knowledge through the publication of original articles that contribute to improving the quality of life of the region's inhabitants and the Colombian population in general. The journal publishes original articles by national and international authors. It is published semiannually and is open access. Therefore, it does not charge authors to publish their articles or subscribers and readers to access the information. It has a scientific and editorial committee composed of researchers with recognized experience in different areas; for the purposes of citation of the journal, the abbreviation Orinoquia is used .
