Revista de Historia de América is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to research and scholarship in the history of the American continent. Founded in 1938 by Silvio Zavala, it is one of the oldest specialized journals focused on American history. The journal is published by the History Commission of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, an institution connected with the Organization of American States. The journal publishes original research articles, thematic studies, historical documents, and book reviews covering diverse areas of American history. Its scope includes colonial history, indigenous studies, political history, social and cultural history, economic history, international relations, and historiography.
