Edited by the Recma association, Recma is today the leading French-language scientific journal publishing works on cooperation and the social and solidarity economy. Founded in 1921 by Charles Gide and Bernard Lavergne, Revue des études coopératives became Revue des études coopératives, mutualistes et associatives in 1986, and then Revue internationale de l'économie sociale. Scientific articles are evaluated on a double-blind basis. Recma is published quarterly. It publishes new studies and research in economics, management, law, history, sociology, geography, etc., on the social economy (cooperatives, mutual societies, associations and their foundations), in France, Europe and other parts of the world.
