The aim of Psychiatric Practice is to build a bridge between clinical psychiatry – everyday psychiatric practice – and research . With high-level scientific contributions on an attractive mix of topics, it provides information on the various facets of social psychiatric research and psychosocial care. The Psychiatric Practice is aimed at those who work in the care of mentally ill people: clinicians, scientists, psychiatrists and members of other professions who treat mentally ill people in multi-professional teams. The readership also includes health care researchers and lawyers, health scientists and politicians in the field of psychiatry. The Psychiatric Practice aims to build a bridge between all those involved in order to support them in their daily work. The journal focuses on the areas of social psychiatry, clinical psychiatry, public mental health and health services research. The journal provides information on scientific developments in the psychosocial field and answers questions about social psychiatric-oriented, community-based care. The Psychiatric Practice is an organ of the following societies and organizations: German Society for Gerontopsychiatry and Psychotherapy (DGGPP) Working Group of Chief Physicians of Clinics for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at General Hospitals in Germany (ACKPA) Federal Directors' Conference - Association of Senior Physicians of Clinics for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (BDK) eV Psychiatric Practice appears – in print and online – with 8 issues per year. Personal subscribers can also access all articles published since 2001 online – retroactively and included in the subscription price.
