Persoonia is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, full colour, fast-track journal, with papers published monthly. Published papers are immediately distributed to several libraries (for effective publication under the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature). Papers are also bound into two volumes per year (June and December), which can be ordered online. The journal strongly supports good practice policies, and requires herbarium voucher specimens to be deposited in a herbarium with an online database such as the National Herbarium of the Netherlands (L), cultures and DNA in long-term genetic resource collections such as the Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures (CBS), sequences in GenBank, alignments in TreeBASE, and taxonomic novelties in MycoBank.
