Pediatric Dentistry is the official peer reviewed scientific journal of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Established in 1979, the journal is internationally recognized as one of the leading publications dedicated exclusively to pediatric dentistry. It publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, clinical investigations, case reports, clinical techniques, policy statements, and abstracts that promote advances in oral health care for infants, children, adolescents, and individuals with special health care needs. The journal aims to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and management of oral diseases affecting children through evidence based clinical practice and scientific research. Its scope includes preventive dentistry, dental caries, pulp therapy, pediatric oral surgery, dental trauma, sedation and behavior guidance, dental materials, oral pathology, orthodontic interventions, craniofacial anomalies, epidemiology, and public health. Published six times a year, the journal serves pediatric dentists, general dentists, researchers, educators, and healthcare professionals worldwide. It is indexed in major bibliographic databases and continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of pediatric oral health and clinical excellence.
