Operations Research and Decisions (ORD)
Journal Descriptions
Operations Research and Decisions (ORD) is an international, peer reviewed, open access academic journal dedicated to the advancement of operations research and decision sciences. Established in 2019, the journal publishes original research articles that contribute to the theory and practice of analytical decision making, optimization, mathematical modelling, forecasting, econometrics, and quantitative management methods. The journal serves as a platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners interested in solving complex economic, industrial, social, and managerial problems through scientific and computational approaches. Special emphasis is placed on the development and application of quantitative techniques, including optimization algorithms, multi criteria decision making, simulation, statistical analysis, and data driven decision support systems. The journal welcomes both theoretical studies and practical applications that demonstrate the value of operations research methods in real world environments. Published quarterly by Wrocław University of Science and Technology, ORD follows a rigorous peer review process and operates under a Diamond Open Access model, allowing authors to publish and readers to access articles without publication fees. The journal is indexed in major international databases, including Scopus and Web of Science, enhancing its visibility and impact within the global research community.
